  • Extension of time to complete GMCS-I Course by the students registered for articleship training on or after 1st May, 2012

    To All Chairmen, office bearers and members of Regional council and Branches and DCO Heads

    Dear Colleague,

    It has been decided to grant extension to students, who were registered for practical training on or after 1st May, 2012 and completed one year of their practical training but not completed the GMCS-I course are, required to complete GMCS-I Course latest by 31st December, 2014.

    The above students are advised to register at the portal www.icaionlineregistration.org or contact the nearest Regional Council/Branch for registration in GMCS-I Course and complete the same at the earliest but not later than 31st December, 2014.

    You are requested to give due publicity to this matter by publishing it in your newsletter/hosting it at your website etc., so that the above category of students who have not completed the GMCS-I within the specified period could availed of this opportunity and undergo the training timely but not later than 31st December, 2014.

  • GMCS and GMCS-I Course Announcement

    The Council at its Special Meeting held on February 2, 2011 decided that the General Management and Communication Skills Course, presently being organized for 15 days for the CA students should be organized twice during the period of articleship training as under:

    (i) GMCS-I (15 days) : during 1st year of articled training
    (ii) GMCS-II (15 days) : after completion of 18 months of training but before completion of articled training
    In view of the above decision, it is hereby informed that GMCS-I & II Course shall be implemented in respect of those students, who have registered for articled training on or after 1st May, 2012. Students, who have registered for articled training prior to 1st May, 2012 shall be governed by the existing GMCS curriculum.

    We wish to clarify that Rs. 5,500/- per participant is to be charged for each course of GMCS as well as GMCS-I as per existing guidelines.
