At the beginning of the year we had determined to be ‘BOLD’. Our clarity of thought and focused purpose was to ‘Brace the change, Organise, Learn & Deliver’. I am pleased to state that with the support of members from across the Region, fellow Office Bearers and Regional Council Members we are on the path to achieve the milestones. The various initiatives we have already implemented and will continue to execute for the rest of the year will bring about a positive change overall.
Meeting at MHADA
As Partners in Nation Building, we are often invited to provide our expert input by Regulators and Government departments. Recently, WIRC Office Bearers and other top housing finance company heads were invited for a meeting with Mr. Vinod Ghosalkar, Chairman (State Minister Status), MHADA, to discuss the raising of capital for MHADA projects. We are pleased to state that our inputs were taken into consideration by this important Government body.

CEO Speaks
The objective of ‘CEO Speaks’ is to know and understand the journey of the CEO from the day he entered into articleship to qualify as a CA to growing into ever widening roles beyond that of CFO to ultimately reach the apex position. The aim of this initiative was also to inspire younger members to aspire to reach these high positions and from the overwhelmingly positive response we received, I am confident of realising this goal.
This month we interacted with the legendary CA. Keki Mistry, CEO of Housing Development Finance Corporation and I am sure that many members and students were motivated by his talk. With over 2000 registrations for this event, we look forward to continue to organise this remarkable initiative in the future as well.
Refresher Course on Wealth Creation through Equity Market (Virtual)
The Indian equity market is a very productive but intricate investment location. Through this refresher course, WIRC invited the absolute top professionals of this industry to the table. Present on the occasion were Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Hon'ble Minister of State, Ministry of Finance, Government of India and our esteemed ICAI President CA. Nihar Niranjan Jambusaria. I am pleased with the tremendous response from participating members and look forward to conduct similar such programs during the course of this year.
